Ramjas Primary School, Darya Ganj observed the ninth consecutive Book Week from July 22 to July 26, 2024 by transforming into a wonderland of literary adventures as students and teachers alike immersed themselves in the magic of books. This was one of the many small ways the school tried to expand a child's horizons, an idea brilliantly carried out by Principal, Mrs. Sonia Datta.

The Education Co-ordinator, Sh. J. C. Pahuja, Principal, Mrs. Sonia Datta and other distinguished guests inaugurated the Book Week. Then the principal welcomed all the guests with a memento. Everyone present enjoyed a small cultural programme, which featured Saraswati Vandana, a play, an action song and an energetic dance perfromance.

Students from Nursery to Std. V demonstrated their creative talents during this week by taking part in the activities listed in their respective class planners. Exciting storytelling sessions and ‘DEAR’ period or ‘Drop Everything and Read’ marked the beginning of the week, which were followed by a series of events like making hand puppets, face masks, book marks, book jackets. These activities encouraged children's inventiveness while giving wings to their imagination.

Lastly, the principal, Mrs. Sonia Datta reminded parents to nurture a passion for reading among their children and inspire a new generation of avid readers
